Is Montgomery County one of the best places to live in Maryland? Most residents would probably say yes, but they aren’t the only ones.

Niche, a ranking and review site, recently released its “2022 Best Places to Live in Maryland” list.

An incredible 18 cities from the county made the list: North Potomac (1); South Kensington (2), North Bethesda (3); Potomac (4); Bethesda (5); Chevy Chase (7); Travilah (8); Rockville (9); Forest Glen (11); Brookmont (15); Four Corners (16); Clarksburg (18); Kensington (19); Darnestown (21); Takoma Park (22); Chevy Chase View (23); Olney (24); and Derwood (25).

North Potomac not only topped the list, but is ranked number 41 in Niche’s “2022 Top Places to Live in America.”

The site said it based the rankings on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, local amenities and other factors. It used data from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, CDC and other sources.
