Bethesda, Silver Spring are hubs of the biannual culinary celebration

Local foodies will be excited to learn that Metropolitan Washington Summer Restaurant Week is right around the corner: Aug. 24-30.
Featuring more than 380 local restaurants, this biannual culinary celebration offers multicourse brunch and lunch selections for $25 or $35 per person, and multicourse dinners for $40, $55 and $65 per person for on-site dining.
Nearly half of the participating restaurants are also offering cocktail, wine or nonalcoholic pairings. Some are also finalists or winners of the RAMMY Awards, presented annually by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington.
Here are the MoCo restaurants participating in Summer Restaurant Week:
Bethesda
- Agora Bethesda — Mediterranean and happy hour fare
- ala | Bethesda — Mediterranean restaurant serving Levantine-inspired dishes, cocktails, brunch (2022 RAMMY finalist, Best Brunch of the Year)
- Benihana — Hibachi chain offering Japanese dishes grilled tableside
- Beth’s — Fresh, casual American fare and cocktails
- Morton’s The Steakhouse — Upscale chain for aged prime beef, seafood and New American entrees
- Mussel Bar and Grille — Old-world Belgian roadhouse serving mussels, oysters and cocktails
- Pisco y Nazca Bethesda — Peruvian cuisine in a modern gastropub setting
- The Food Market — Elevated American comfort foods
- The Salt Line — Casual seafood restaurant (2020 RAMMY winner, Favorite Gathering Place)

- Elena James — Neighborhood restaurant serving New American cuisine for dinner and weekend brunch
