Keep your summer beach trips, spring flower power and winter wonderlands—hands down, fall is my favorite season. Foliage blends fiery shades against crisp blue skies as temperatures start to cool.
Yet the season’s activity heats up with events and anticipation for holiday moments. It’s a season of bated breath. Of costumes, and culinary delights. Of whispered tales and widening belts. Of pumpkins and parties. Of creativity, conversation and, this year, of consequential vote-counting. Keep your summer beach trips, spring flower power and winter wonderlands—hands down, fall is my favorite season.

“Thanksgiving 101”
by Rick Rodgers
Learn from catering-creator-turned-cooking-instructor Rick Rodgers, who led Thanksgiving 101 classes across America for over fifteen years and gathered in this book a collection of favorite recipes he has encountered along with the history surrounding the ingredients for these customary culinary treasures.
From the get-go, the author prepares the reader with a series of lists for setting up a Thanksgiving: guest lists, grocery lists, prep lists, tableware lists — it is all in there and more! Then spiced with a dash of memoir, the subsequent recipes are arranged in serving order from appetizers to desserts and even a chapter on what to make with the leftovers the next day. Before hitting the index, Rodgers offers a series of themed menu lists with their preparation timetables for creating a happy experience for you and your guests. Truly a book to be thankful for this holiday!
