Guapo’s GO carries on the fast-casual Mexican tradition in the space that California Tortilla vacated last fall in Gaithersburg.
Operated by the family that owns the local Guapo’s Restaurant group, Guapo’s GO, a fast-casual eatery centered around 24-hour-marinated chicken, is now open at 12211 Darnestown Road across from Quince Orchard High School. It offers dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering options.
Customers can choose from birria, crispy and street tacos, customizable burritos and bowls, pupusas, enchiladas, quesadillas, fajitas, ceviches, chaufa rice, chicken and steak-and-cheese sandwiches and the eatery’s signature smash burger. Sides include rice and beans, fried plantains, yuca, mac and cheese, flour tortillas and fries.
Family platters, breakfast options, a kids’ menu and coffee, drinks and desserts are also available.
The Gaithersburg restaurant is Guapo’s GO’s first Maryland location, joining locations in Herndon, Woodbridge and Manassas Park, Virginia.
Its hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
