Soon there will be more options to dine en plein air.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bethesda Streetery&#8221; from Bethesda Urban Partnership and Montgomery County will create extended outdoor dining space for customers to enjoy after picking up their to-go orders at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethesda.org\/dining-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">local restaurants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To accommodate the additional seating area, temporary street closures will begin on Wednesday, June 10, in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Norfolk Avenue, between St. Elmo Avenue and Cordell Avenue<\/li>\n<li>Norfolk Avenue, between Cordell Avenue and Del Ray Avenue<\/li>\n<li>Woodmont Avenue, between Elm Street and Bethesda Avenue<\/li>\n<li>Veterans Park, corner of Norfolk and Woodmont Avenues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cordell Avenue, between the parking garage near Old Georgetown Road and Triangle Towers, will be closed Wednesdays through Sundays from 4-10 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bethesda Streetery not only gives the community a safe dining option and enjoyable experience in our downtown, but also provides restaurants with additional seating and the chance to once again connect more fully with their customers at a safe distance,&#8221; said Bethesda Urban Partnership&#8217;s executive director, Jeff Burton, in a press release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">Restaurants with sidewalk tables will continue to manage their own outdoor seating. Bethesda Streetery, available for patrons of any restaurant, will be set up as open-seating in the street, with four-top tables arranged at least six feet apart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">Patrons are responsible for throwing away their trash and recycling.
