Carmen’s Italian Ice and Café

Best known for its frozen desserts, this local favorite is staying busy making marshmallow-filled melt-in-your-cup treats made with Ghirardelli chocolate, cocoa powder and white chocolate drizzle. They sell out quickly, so check their Facebook page to see what’s in stock at Carmen’s Rockville and Olney locations. $5.50 each.

Tummie Yummies

Made in Rockville, these hot chocolate bombs are just as fun to look at as they are delicious. Filled with homemade marshmallows, they’re available in delectable flavors such as caramel, peppermint, dark chocolate, peanut butter cup and more. Delivery available. $30 for a pack of six.

Lily Magilly’s Cupcakery

This Gaithersburg cupcakery offers a range of colorful hot chocolate bombs featuring classic flavors like chocolate, peppermint and caramel. They also offer fun creations like Magical Snowflake, made with classic milk chocolate and multicolored marshmallows, and Wish, which is decorated with edible star glitter. $5 each.

Red Bandana Bakery

The gluten-free Bethesda bakery jumped on the hot cocoa bomb bandwagon back in December. Choose from traditional marshmallow, vegan hot chocolate, peppermint mocha, unicorn or snowman varieties. Available for curbside pickup, delivery or in-store purchase. $5 each.

Princess Pop

This Clarksburg-based home business has reached 2.8 million views on TikTok with its hot cocoa bomb tutorial. Customers looking to try their social media-famous confections can choose from a range of flavors, including mint chocolate, Swiss mocha, salted caramel and raspberry chocolate. They also recently launched adorable unicorn cocoa bombs complete with horns and edible glitter. Regular hot chocolate bombs are $5; unicorn bombs are $7.50.

Lil’ Cakes and Creamery

Stop by Lil’ Cakes and Creamery in Gaithersburg for some homemade hot chocolate bombs in a range of fun colors and flavors, such as cookies and cream, chocolate, white chocolate and caramel.
