Meet the newest way to enjoy every Marylander’s favorite seafood seasoning: Old Bay Vodka!

McCormick & Company, the makers of the spice blend, announced on March 3 that they are partnering with Maryland-based distillery George’s Beverage Company on the alcoholic beverage.

“Old Bay has been a fan-favorite for over 75 years in the Chesapeake Bay region and beyond,” Jill Pratt, McCormick’s chief marketing excellence officer, said in a press release. “Our fans are loyal and passionate when it comes to all things Old Bay. We’re thrilled to work with George’s to bring the one-of-a-kind flavor of Old Bay to fans in entirely new, exciting, and innovative ways.”

The Old Bay Vodka site said the spirit will “sing with Spirit of the Bay,” and has been distilled six times for a smooth and crisp flavor.

Wondering what alcoholic concoctions or recipes can be created with the new vodka? Well, the Old Bay site has several of them like Old Bay martini salsa and bay lemonade.

Even Gov. Larry Hogan is excited for the collaboration, as he tweeted out on the day of the announcement, “Who needs Russian vodka when you can get Old Bay Vodka?”
