Miss Toya’s Southern Kitchen has reached the signage phase, according to MoCo Show, with plans to open in early 2023 in Rio, in Gaithersburg.
A Black, family- and woman-owned full-service southern and creole restaurant, it will occupy the space of the now-closed BGR. The restaurant, and the recently opened recently opened Miss Toya’s Creole Kitchen at 923 Ellsworth Dr. in Downtown Silver Spring, was founded by Chef Jeff and Toya Miskiri.
