From Freaking Out to Laugh Out Loud: Library-Anne’s Picks for April (and May)

By Anne Gerlach, Adult Services Librarian, Montgomery County Public Libraries, White Oak Library

Rejuvenate is the word for spring. Flowers arise from once snow-covered ground to bloom. Birds return to sing again. And as nature grows out of darker days it calls us to step out of hibernation and into the changes the year presents us. What is the best way to rejuvenate?

For some it’s managing stress. For others it’s quality time with pets. Some folks find laughter rejuvenating, while others rejuvenate in nature’s beauty. Coincidentally, this season holds Stress Awareness Month, National Pet Day, National Humor Month, and Earth Day — so here are titles honoring these themes.
