If you’re looking for a quick in-and-out barbershop experience, Boardroom Salon for Men isn’t for you. The new salon, opening March 31 in Montrose Crossing in Rockville, will offer tailored haircuts, shaves and spa treatments in a country club-inspired salon, complete with dark wood paneling and oversized leather chairs.

Boardroom was founded in 2004, at a time when the men’s grooming industry didn’t exist, by husband-and-wife duo Bruce and Heather Schultz. Its signature Benchmark includes a personal consultation and cut, plus scalp, face and hand massages and other little luxuries.

“When Bruce and Heather were visualizing this concept, they wanted to keep it upscale and professional. They wanted to use terms that reach out to the clientele we’re trying to target and ‘boardroom’ is well-known in the professional world,” says Marissa Vallejo, Boardroom Salon’s regional director.

In keeping with the professional lingo, Boardroom offers Executive, Express and CEO memberships that each come with unlimited haircuts and a variety of benefits, including discounts on services and products.

In honor of its new opening, Boardroom is offering a limited amount of Founder’s memberships for Rockville clients that include up to $165 in savings and a branded silver beverage tumbler.

“We’re focused on delivering the most top-notch client experience so we work really hard to provide the best benefits,” says Vallejo.

Boardroom now has 43 locations across the country, including Fairfax, Virginia.
