REAL ESTATE CENTRAL
The housing market has been kind to Montgomery County as compared to most other parts of the country. Keeping the county housing relatively stable is a strong jobs environment and proximity to the District, according to a realty group that tracks the Montgomery County market.

According to April data provided by the Myers Team at RE/MAX Realty Services, homes in the county averaged 43 days on the market and homes sold got 98.5% of their asking price. The county had a 2.3 month supply of homes for sale. The translation: it's a seller's market. More Info

Need a birthday party idea, rainy day or everyday activity for the little tyke or teen in your family? Here are three great MoCo places and businesses that cater to kids and birthdays.

CASTLE LASER TAG - The new center in Gaithersburg allows you alone to defend the castle from other players or to play as a team and strategize your assault. Fog, lights and sound add to the mood and excitement of playing through terrain illuminated by black light. Castle Laser Tag

MINIATURE GOLF AT BOHRER PARK - The park-like setting in Gaithersburg is a well-designed 18-hole miniature golf course with waterfalls, streams and ponds as obstacles along with changing hole locations. The course can also be used for private parties.

WASHINGTONIAN PADDLE BOATS - With warmer weather arriving and summer approaching, the paddle boats, in the shapes of dragons, swans, pirate ships, and pink flamingos, will be out on the small lake at RIO Washingtonian. It's fun for the whole family.

CUISINE SCENE
For the Foodies in Montgomery County

BRIO TUSCAN GRILLE - The North Bethesda location of the upscale national chain with restaurants in 22 states has closed. Brio Tuscan had served Italian specialties since early 2012. brioitalian.com

MEDIUM RARE - The concept is so simple; the food is so good. If you go to the new Medium Rare in Bethesda looking for a long and extensive menu, don't bother. MR is a prix fixe menu of artisan rustic bread, mixed green salad, hand cut fries, and culotte steak. Ironically, MR offers five dessert choices, but after two rounds of steak, it's hard to stuff down a slice of six layer carrot cake. But go ahead and try anyway. mediumrarerestaurant.com

MISSION BBQ - The national chain has 15 locations in Maryland and its Rockville restaurant is the only one in Montgomery County. Mission serves authentic BBQ made from the freshest, most delectable ingredients, but the patriotic theme and decor set Mission apart from other BBQ joints. The staff holds a daily salute to the Stars and Stripes. mission-bbq.com

Q by PETER CHANG - The Chinese-born chef with an international reputation has opened a new restaurant in Bethesda. Pairing traditional and authentic Szechuan cuisine with a chic, 8,000-square-foot design, Q by Peter Chang is considered his flagship restaurant. Peking duck and Mao-style braised pork are among the favorites. qbypeterchang.com

THIS PET'S FOR YOU
What could be more fun than a cat named Doc? This pretty kitty suddenly found himself homeless after a lifetime of living together with his owner. This gentleman is already neutered and declawed. Yes, he is an adult cat, but don't tell him that since he surely doesn't  act that way. Despite the upheaval he is very well natured, friendly and loves attention. Doc is definitely the leader of the pack. Could you provide a home for Doc? for.roxiesfund@gmail.com  www.roxiesfund.org
